Contact IntactFile
One person builds and maintains IntactFile, and the same person reads this inbox. Whether a repair behaved oddly, a charge needs sorting, you're writing about the project, or you've found a security issue, this page tells you where it goes and how to make it quick to answer.
Your file never leaves your device — repair runs in your browser. 0 bytes uploaded.
Write to info@intactfile.com. It's a single, monitored inbox — there's no ticket system to navigate and no chatbot in front of it. A short, specific message gets a faster, more useful reply than a long one.
A repair didn't work as expected
Most repair questions are answered fastest when you describe the file rather than send it. Include:
- The file type and roughly how big it is (for example, a 4 GB MP4 from a GoPro, or a 30 MB XLSX).
- The exact error text or code you saw — from your player, from Windows or macOS, or from the diagnosis on our page.
- What happened to the file originally: a camera that died mid-recording, an interrupted download, a copy off a failing drive.
- Your browser and operating system, since repair runs in the browser.
Please don't attach the file. IntactFile has no server that receives files — repair runs entirely in your browser — so there's nowhere for an uploaded copy to go, and email is the wrong place for anything sensitive. The details above are enough to point you in the right direction. Not sure a file is even repairable? Diagnosis is free on everyrepair tool, and it tells you what's wrong before you decide anything.
Billing and refunds
A repair that fails verification is never charged, and purchased credits never expire. If something looks wrong on a payment — a double charge, a credit that didn't land, a repair you were billed for but couldn't download — email the inbox with the date and the email address you used at checkout, and it'll be put right. The full terms are in therefund policy.
Press and media
Reporters and writers can find logos, screenshots, boilerplate, and the key facts about how in-browser repair works on thepress page. For anything not covered there — an interview, a specific claim you want to verify, a technical detail — the same inbox reaches the founder directly. Background on who's behind the project is on the about page.
Security and responsible disclosure
If you've found a vulnerability, please report it privately toinfo@intactfile.com before disclosing it publicly, and allow reasonable time for a fix. Because files are processed only in your own browser and nothing is uploaded, there is no file store to breach — but the site, the payment flow, and the client-side engines are all fair game, and genuine reports are taken seriously and credited if you'd like.
