Repair, not recovery — and how to choose a page
IntactFile does structural repair: a file that won't open is usually intact data wrapped in a broken structure — an index that was never written, a directory truncated mid-download, a header knocked out of shape. These tools rebuild that structure around the data that survived. They are not data-recovery software for a deleted file or a failing drive; if the underlying bytes are genuinely gone, no tool can invent them back, and each page says so plainly.

If a specific device made the file — a GoPro or DJI clip cut off when the battery died, a Sony or Canon card pulled too early — the device page carries the container and codec quirks that matter for a faithful rebuild.
