# IntactFile > Repair corrupted files entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device — 0 bytes are uploaded to any server. Repair engines (qpdf, libav, mozjpeg, 7z, SQLite, and more) run client-side as WebAssembly, so recovery is private by design. There's a free tier and no account is required to start. ## What it repairs - [Repair video](https://www.intactfile.com/repair-video): Corrupted MP4, MOV, and camera footage, repaired in your browser and never uploaded. Free up to 500 MB. - [Repair PDF](https://www.intactfile.com/repair-pdf): Fix a damaged PDF without uploading it anywhere. - [Repair ZIP](https://www.intactfile.com/repair-zip): Recover the files inside a corrupted ZIP archive, in-browser. - [Repair SQLite](https://www.intactfile.com/repair-sqlite): Recover a corrupted SQLite database without sending it to a server. - [Repair Excel (XLSX)](https://www.intactfile.com/repair-excel): Recover a corrupted Excel workbook in your browser. - [Repair JPG photos](https://www.intactfile.com/repair-jpg): Repair damaged JPG/JPEG photos, no upload. ## Convert & view files (no upload) These decode modern or proprietary image formats in the browser and either render them or re-encode them to JPG/PNG. Nothing is uploaded; when a file is damaged, each tool links to the matching repair page. - [Convert files (hub)](https://www.intactfile.com/convert): In-browser converters for AVIF, HEIC, PSD and camera RAW — honest about what each conversion keeps and loses. - [View files (hub)](https://www.intactfile.com/viewer): In-browser viewers for AVIF, HEIC, PSD and camera RAW — no Photoshop, Lightroom or codec pack. - [AVIF to JPG](https://www.intactfile.com/avif-to-jpg): Decode AV1 and re-encode a universal JPEG in your browser (lossy, drops transparency). - [AVIF to PNG](https://www.intactfile.com/avif-to-png): Decode AV1 and re-encode lossless PNG, keeping the alpha channel. - [HEIC to JPG](https://www.intactfile.com/heic-to-jpg): Convert iPhone HEIC/HEIF to JPG where the browser can decode HEVC. - [PSD to PNG](https://www.intactfile.com/psd-to-png): Export a PSD's flattened composite as lossless PNG with transparency. - [PSD to JPG](https://www.intactfile.com/psd-to-jpg): Export a PSD's flattened composite as a high-quality JPEG. - [RAW to JPG](https://www.intactfile.com/raw-to-jpg): Extract the camera's embedded JPEG preview from CR2/NEF/ARW/DNG (not a re-developed RAW). - [AVIF viewer](https://www.intactfile.com/avif-viewer): Open AVIF images in the browser, nothing uploaded. - [HEIC viewer](https://www.intactfile.com/heic-viewer): Open HEIC/HEIF photos where the browser can decode HEVC, with an honest fallback. - [PSD viewer](https://www.intactfile.com/psd-viewer): View a Photoshop file's flattened composite without Photoshop. - [RAW viewer](https://www.intactfile.com/raw-viewer): View a camera RAW's embedded preview without Lightroom. ## Edit PDFs (no upload) These edit healthy PDFs entirely in the browser with pdf-lib and qpdf-wasm — nothing is uploaded. Honest about scope: "unlock" removes owner-password restrictions and decrypts when you supply the open password (it never cracks or guesses one); "remove metadata" strips the Info dictionary and XMP and does not guarantee removal of every embedded trace. An encrypted input must be unlocked before merge/split/rotate/remove-metadata. - [PDF tools (hub)](https://www.intactfile.com/pdf-tools): In-browser PDF toolkit — unlock, merge, split, rotate and remove metadata, all client-side with 0 bytes uploaded. - [Unlock PDF](https://www.intactfile.com/unlock-pdf): Remove owner-password/permission restrictions, or decrypt a PDF using the password you already have — no cracking. - [Merge PDF](https://www.intactfile.com/merge-pdf): Combine several PDFs into one in your browser. - [Split PDF](https://www.intactfile.com/split-pdf): Extract pages or split a PDF into parts, in-browser. - [Rotate PDF](https://www.intactfile.com/rotate-pdf): Rotate pages and save a fixed PDF without uploading it. - [Remove PDF metadata](https://www.intactfile.com/remove-pdf-metadata): Strip the document Info dictionary and XMP metadata client-side. ## Site - [Home](https://www.intactfile.com/): What IntactFile is and how in-browser, no-upload repair works. - [Pricing](https://www.intactfile.com/pricing): Free tier plus transparent per-repair pricing; credits never expire. - [About](https://www.intactfile.com/about): Who builds IntactFile and why. - [Privacy](https://www.intactfile.com/privacy): How the no-upload, client-side model protects your files. ## For developers - [Developer docs](https://www.intactfile.com/docs): Use IntactFile's repair engines from your own tools. - [CLI](https://www.intactfile.com/docs/cli): Diagnose and repair files from the terminal. - [SDK](https://www.intactfile.com/docs/sdk): Programmatic, in-process file repair. - [MCP](https://www.intactfile.com/docs/mcp): Model Context Protocol integration. ## Guides - [Blog: how files break & what's repairable](https://www.intactfile.com/blog/): Plain-language guides on file corruption and recovery. - [Repairing files in the browser](https://www.intactfile.com/blog/repairing-files-in-the-browser): How client-side WASM repair works and why nothing is uploaded. - [Is it safe to upload files to online repair tools?](https://www.intactfile.com/blog/is-it-safe-to-upload-files-to-online-repair): The privacy risks of upload-based services.
